Reigan Hanna '26 of Lake Luzerne, N.Y., received The Edith M. Lacey Memorial Nursing Scholarship during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Established to memorialize Lacey, founder of the Hartwick nursing program and its director for nearly 18 years, the scholarship goes to a junior nursing student with demonstrated academic achievement and abilities (promise as a future nurse), personal deportment and other outstanding characteristics.

Ireayooluwa Otoki '26 of Ibadan, Nigeria, was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Otoki was awarded the E. Perrie Saxton '53 Scholarship. Established by the family and friends of Edna "Perrie" Perrine Saxton '53, a former nursing professor and department chair, the scholarship supports a rising junior or senior nursing student in either the three- or four-year degree program who demonstrates academic excellence and a commitment to improving community health. Additionally, Otoki received The Edith M. Lacey Memorial Nursing Scholarship. Margaret Van Valkenburgh '26 of Highland, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Van Valkenburgh was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Spanish. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit. Additionally, Van Valkenburgh received The Edith M. Lacey Memorial Nursing Scholarship. Alexandra Lynch '26 of Mahopac, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Lynch was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Psychology. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit. Additionally, Lynch was presented The Dr. Charles W. Leitzell Music Award. Established by a gift from Florence Bayreuther '39, a music education major during Dr. Leitzell's presidency at Hartwick College, the fund provides a scholarship to a senior woman music student chosen by the music faculty on the basis of need and ability who has demonstrated commitment to further music study.

Alison Cancellieri '27 of North Bennington, Vt., received The Peter D. Junemann '65 Memorial Award during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Established by Dr. and Mrs. Henry R. Junemann in memory of their son, the income is to provide a scholarship to outstanding music majors.

Jillissa Cassanova '27 of Jamaica, N.Y., was awarded The Dr. James Elting H'13 Memorial Scholarship during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Established in 2013 by family and friends of Dr. Elting, the scholarship is awarded to two students with a 3.0 GPA, demonstrating leadership in co-curricular activities and/or academics, and intending to pursue a career or graduate study in medicine, athletics, sports medicine, physical therapy, sports management, or another area related to medicine, healthcare, or athletics, and demonstrating financial need.

Wilfredo Alvarenga of Huntington Station, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Alvarenga was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Nursing. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit. Additionally, Alvarenga received The Dr. James Elting H'13 Memorial Scholarship. Established by Dr. and Mrs. Henry R. Junemann in memory of their son, the income is to provide a scholarship to outstanding music majors.

Bryce Rogers '27 of Fulton, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Rogers was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Mathematics. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit. Additionally, Rogers was presented The Dr. David "Hutch" Hutchison Award. Established by Hutchison's student, Michael H. Young '83, the award goes to a rising junior or rising senior geology major for academic travel purposes including conferences, J Term programs, or thesis research. Selection is based on academic performance and financial need.

Makenna Ventuleth '27 of Worcester, N.Y., was celebrated for her academic achievements during Honors Convocation held April 30. Ventuleth was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Chemistry. All scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by faculty in their major departments based on academic achievement, leadership and character. She also received The Carol A. Bocher and Earl E. Deubler, Jr. H'91 Scholarship. Established in 1988 upon the retirement of Dr. Carol Bocher and Dr. Earl Deubler, this award is given to a current second year biology student who shows outstanding potential for a career in a field related to biology. In addition, Ventuleth was awarded the Dr. Elizabeth V. Lamphere '38, H'97 Scholarship. Established through Lamphere's estate, the scholarship is awarded to a junior chemistry major with a GPA of at least 3.5 who is active in the Langmuir Chemical Society, also known as the Chem Club.

Autumn Tubbs '27 of Saint Johnsville, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Tubbs was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Biochemistry. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit. Additionally, Tubbs was presented The Otto Steinbach Memorial Scholarship in Chemistry. Established in memory of Chemistry Professor Dr. Otto Steinbach by his wife, Grace Steinbach '38, and former student Elizabeth Lamphere '38, H'97, this scholarship is awarded to a rising junior or senior chemistry or biochemistry major who has demonstrated high academic achievement.

Akua Manuh '26 of Bronx, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Manuh was named a Faculty Scholar in Nursing. All scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by faculty in their major departments based on academic achievement, leadership and character. Additionally, Manuh was presented The Gladys Brooks Nursing Scholarship. This award goes to a student enrolled in the Three-Year Bachelor's Degree Program or the 18-month Accelerated Program. Students are selected based on educational achievement, leadership and academic ability.

Amanda Bryla '26 of Endwell, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Bryla was named a Faculty Scholar in Environment, Sustainability and Society. All scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by faculty in their major departments based on academic achievement, leadership and character. Additionally, Bryla was presented the President Margaret L. Drugovich P'12 Award for Personal Courage. Established by Elizabeth Steele P'12, this award goes to a qualified rising sophomore, junior, or senior Hartwick College student or students with demonstrated financial need who has faced adversity and is persevering.

Madison Garey of Johnson City, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Garey was named a Faculty Scholar in Economics. All scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by faculty in their major departments based on academic achievement, leadership and character. Additionally, Garey was presented The Keith A. Youngman '05 Award in Economics. Established by Gerald and Candace Youngman P'05 in memory of their son, the award goes to a rising junior or senior economics major for an off-campus internship or J Term experience. The recipient is selected by the economics faculty based on his or her demonstration of strong morals, an established work ethic, an enterprising spirit, engagement with the Hartwick College community and the community at large, and support for his or her fellow students and the faculty of the department.

Lincoln Waffle '26 of Laurens, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Waffle was named a Faculty Scholar in Business Administration. All scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by faculty in their major departments based on academic achievement, leadership and character. Additionally, Waffle was presented The Community Bank N.A. Scholarship in Memory of Linda S. French '85. Established by Wilber National Bank, now Community Bank N.A., with a gift from the bank's Board of Directors, the income provides a scholarship for a business administration major.

Brynita Haas '26 of Red Creek, N.Y., was presented with two awards during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Haas was named a Faculty Scholar in Biology. All scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by faculty in their major departments based on academic achievement, leadership and character. Additionally, Haas was presented the Deborah M. Allen Brennan Memorial Scholarship. Established by Professor Emeritus Daniel Allen H'94 and Constance Hartley Allen '72 in memory of their daughter, the award is given to an outstanding biology student who is a junior at the time of Honors Convocation and demonstrates a strong interest in research.

Indigo Shepard '27 of Oneonta, N.Y., was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Sociology during the College's Honors Convocation held on April 30. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit.

Kylee Hosmer '26 of Boonville, N.Y., was celebrated for her achievements in art history during Hartwick College's Honors Convocation held April 30. Hosmer was named a Faculty Scholar in Art History. All scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by faculty in their major departments based on academic achievement, leadership and character. She also received the Dr. Robert E. and Mrs. Maryalice Mansbach Scholarship, established in 1991 by Charles Paul '72 and Carolyn Van Eps Paul '73 in honor of Robert Mansbach, a retired professor of religion. The award is presented to a student who has shown exceptional growth in the spirit of liberal education. In addition, Hosmer was presented the Semenenko Clark Award for Outstanding Junior Art History Paper. Established by Christine Semenenko P'09 to promote excellence in the Department of Art and Art History, funds support students as they excel in their chosen area.
