Bryce Rogers '27 of Fulton, New York, was named Faculty Scholar in Geological & Environmental Sciences during Honors Convocation on April 29. Faculty Scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by the faculty of their major departments on the basis of academic achievement, leadership and character. Additionally, Rogers received the David A. Diener Mathematics Achievement Award. Established by the Department of Mathematics in honor of Dr. Diener, professor of mathematics from 1968 to 2000, the award recognizes mathematics majors for excellence in the field.

Nahal Sarvestani '26 of Fayetteville, Akansas, received the Cyrus Mehri '83 Global Pluralism Fellowship during Honors Convocation on April 29. The scholarship recognizes the importance and value of including students from the broadest range of backgrounds, ethnicities and life experiences in our learning community and is awarded annually to a student with a distinctive perspective, grounded in life experience, who is committed to enriching the campus community by bringing diverse perspectives from communities within and outside the United States to Hartwick. The scholarship also includes a stipend for a faculty mentor.

Jaylene Rodriguez '26 of Orlando, Florida, received the John F. Kingston '49 Award in Theatre during Honors Convocation on April 29. Established by John Kingston '49, P'76 in memory of his son, Thomas, a scholarship goes to the student who is most deserving, as determined by the Theatre Department.

Cassidy Reader '27 of Rome, New York, received The Edith M. Lacey Memorial Nursing Scholarship during the College's Honors Convocation on April 29. Established to memorialize Lacey, founder of the Hartwick nursing program and its director for nearly 18 years, the scholarship goes to a junior nursing student with demonstrated academic achievement and abilities, promise as a future nurse, personal deportment and other outstanding characteristics. Additionally, Reader was presented the Gladys Brooks Nursing Scholarship. This award goes to a student enrolled in the Three-Year Bachelor's Degree Program or the 18-month Accelerated Program. Students are selected based on educational achievement, leadership and academic ability.

Nina Randazzo '29 of Baldwin, New York, received the Thurston J. Dox Memorial Scholarship in Music during Honors Convocation on April 29. Awarded annually to a student participating in the College Choir, this honor recognizes vocal abilities that best reflect the qualities Thurston Dox sought to cultivate in each of his students. Dox was a member of the Hartwick College Music Department faculty from 1960 to 1995 and was Director of the College Choir.

Morgan Quarella '29 of Greene, New York, received the Dr. Robert E. & Mrs. Maryalice Mansbach Scholarship during Honors Convocation on April 29. Established in 1991 by Lee and Sue Idleman in honor of their friends, the Mansbachs, this scholarship is awarded to a rising sophomore with a minimum 2.7 GPA, a commitment to the liberal arts, demonstrated financial need and involvement in a community action agency, organization or institution in Oneonta. Recipients must also show promise of continuing that involvement throughout their Hartwick College career.

Elijah Polsinelli '28 of Schenectady, New York, received the Rob Jordan '98 Memorial Scholarship during Honors Convocation on April 29. Established by fraternity members in memory of their brother, the scholarship is awarded to a rising junior demonstrating promise of success in the field of photography and a passion for the medium.

Benjamin Pauli '26 of East Greenbush, New York, received the Al Gallodoro H'05 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music Performance during Honors Convocation on April 29. Established in 2008 by the Hartwick College Music Department, this award is presented in memory of musician and faculty member Al Gallodoro H'05. The recipient is selected by the Music Department and is honored as a featured performer at the Honors Convocation ceremony.

Malachi Polson '27 of Bay Shore, New York, was named Faculty Scholar in Physical Education Teacher Education during Honors Convocation on April 29. Faculty Scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit.

Michael Pastore '27 of West Babylon, New York, was named Faculty Scholar in Mathematics during Honors Convocation on April 29. Faculty Scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by the faculty of their major departments on the basis of academic achievement, leadership and character. Additionally, Pastore was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Mathematics. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit. Pastore also earned the Mathematics Association of America Membership Award, which recognizes a mathematics major for high academic achievement and high degree of professional promise in a mathematics-related career.

Samantha Osborne '27 of Schenevus, New York, received the Nursing Alumni Memorial Scholarship during Honors Convocation on April 29. Based on academic record, participation and potential as a member of the nursing profession, the scholarship is awarded by the Alumni Association through its Nursing Committee for use during the senior year of study by a nursing student.

Phoebe Olson '26 of Jamestown, North Dakota received the John & Gertrude Rohrer Award in Mathematics during Honors Convocation on April 29. This award is presented to a member of the graduating class who has demonstrated excellence in the field of mathematics.

Diyora Nasrulloeva '27 of Sughd Province, Tajikistan, received the Otto Steinbach Memorial Scholarship in Chemistry during Honors Convocation on April 29. Established in memory of Chemistry Professor Dr. Otto Steinbach by his wife, Grace Steinbach '38, and former student Elizabeth Lamphere '38, H'97, this scholarship is awarded to a rising junior or senior chemistry or biochemistry major who has demonstrated high academic achievement.

Matthew Morrison '28 of Missouri City, Texas, was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Biochemistry during Honors Convocation on April 29. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit.

Daniel Morgan '27 of Slate Hill, N.Y., received the David A. Diener Mathematics Achievement Award during Honors Convocation held on April 29. Established by the Department of Mathematics in honor of Dr. David Diener, professor of mathematics from 1968 to 2000, the award recognizes mathematics majors for excellence in the field.

Silas Moyer '26 of Wilmington, New York, received the Lambda Alpha National Collegiate Honor Society of Anthropology Charles R. Jenkins Certificate during Honors Convocation on April 29. This award is presented to a graduating senior in honor of important contributions to the study of Anthropology.

Nathaniel Moratto '27 of Oneonta, New York, was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Computer Sciences during Honors Convocation on April 29. Fellows are selected by faculty in each department to honor outstanding achievement in their respective fields. They serve as student assistants within their major department and receive a tuition credit. In addition, Moratto received the Departmental Award for Excellence in Computer and Information Science. This award recognizes students who have done outstanding work in their field.

Rylee Moore '27 of Wilton, New York, was named Faculty Scholar in Mathematics during Honors Convocation on April 29. Faculty Scholars have excellent academic records and have demonstrated an outstanding mastery of their respective disciplines. Rising seniors are nominated by the faculty of their major departments on the basis of academic achievement, leadership and character. In addition, Moore was awarded the Harry "Ed" Dorr '49 and Joan Ullman Dorr '51 Scholarship. Established with a bequest by the Dorr couple, who were Hartwick grandparents as well as alumni, the scholarship is presented to a physics major selected by the Physics Department.

Audrey McDonnell '29 of Herkimer, New York, received the General Chemistry Achievement Award during Honors Convocation on April 29. This award is presented based on student performance in Chemistry 107 and 108, or Chemistry 109.

Maya MacCarthy '29 of Rocky Point, New York, received the Peter D. Junemann '65 Memorial Award during Honors Convocation on April 29. Established by Dr. and Mrs. Henry R. Junemann in memory of their son, the income is to provide a scholarship to outstanding music majors.

Sarah Matumbura '26 of Waterbury, Connecticut, received the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants Award for Superior Scholarship in Auditing during Honors Convocation on April 29. This award is based upon the nomination of the accounting faculty. At the Hartwick College Student Leadership Awards Ceremony on April 21, Matumbura was presented the Admissions George F. Goodwin Award. Each spring, the College honors students for their contributions to the community during the Student Leadership Awards Ceremony.

Hannah Makuch '26 of Carthage, New York, received the Linda S. French '85 Memorial Award in Business Administration during Honors Convocation on April 29. Established in 1986 by the members of the Economics and Business Administration faculty in memory of French, this award is made to a graduating senior major who has been a leader in the department. Additionally, Makuch was presented with the American Chemical Society Award, which recognizes outstanding work by a senior in chemistry or biochemistry.
